Tasks:
- Coordinate, develop, and maintain the scope and performance of laboratory information systems projects.
- Maintain project documentation by formulating and implementing policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Report to Forensic Sciences Division Deputy Director.
- Collect and document project requirements from laboratory teams.
- Ensure that project requirements and milestones are met.
- Prepare and manage LIMS documentation.
- Communicate project progress to stakeholders and senior management.
- Support the management team by providing leadership and program management control on key initiatives that contemplate budget, scope, resource capacity, current resource allocations, schedule, governance, intake, change management, etc.
- Provide leadership visibility into risk analysis, remediation and downstream impacts on current or planned projects.
Education
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- PMP Certification preferred.
General Experience:
- 3-5 years relevant project management and/or management experience from a Healthcare or IT environment.
- Knowledge of project & program management methodologies, tools & techniques.
- Proficiency using project management software.
